You've spent countless hours scrolling through Creative Market and Canva looking for the perfect logo template, but nothing feels like you
DIY-ing everything for your business is starting to get exhausting
You have a vision in mind for how you want your branding to look, but you don't have the skill (or the time) to get it done right
Professional brand design sounds great, but the price tag and/or time commitment doesn't
If you've ever heard the terms "VIP days" or "day rates" floating around the creative world, it's kinda like that!
A Brand Intensive with Homeward Creative Co. is a condensed version of our traditional custom brand design service. By cutting out the deeper dive into strategy, the presentations, and the back-and-forth revisions over email, we're able to cut down the process to a single day of design work (plus a little prep work to get started).
So you can have all the basics you need, fast.
With just a little collaboration from you, and a full day of my time dedicated entirely to your brand!
"Give. Emma. Your. Money!! I had no idea I needed something like the Design Intensive. From all of the BTS to the launching phase, she walked me through every inch of the process and over-communicated everything. I was a hard case because I knew I needed a revamp, but I had no idea what I wanted. Emma came in and opened my eyes to a whole new universe. I've never felt more understood and valued. I handed her my entire business, and she took it and made it ten thousand times better. The result was better than I could've ever imagined."
Your business is still in the beginning stages.
Time is of the essence. You need new branding now.
You value professional brand design, but you're working with a small budget.
You already have an idea of how you want your brand identity to look, but you need help actually designing it.
You don't need days to think on your feedback. You're able to make quick decisions about your brand.

Your business is still in the beginning stages, or you're creating a sub-brand for your current business.
You value professional brand design, but you're working with a smaller budget.
You've been running your business for a few years now (and doing pretty well if you do say so yourself).
You're entering into a new niche or switching things up big time in your business.
You don't have a solid grasp on your brand's personality, values, target market, and / or unique position.
You have the time and resources to invest in strategic branding. You're ready to go all in.
You need time to think over decisions, and would prefer a more traditional approach to giving feedback (i.e. emails and questionnaires).

Yes! Investing in custom branding is a big step, so I want to make the payment process as easy as possible. For Design Intensives, I typically ask for 50% up front to reserve your date, then the remainder is due before the end of the day on your design day. If that really won't work for you, we can work together to create a payment plan that works for both of us!
The prep work we do prior to the design day makes this is very unlikely to happen! However, if for some reason we arrive at the end of the day and the basics still aren't finalized (primary logo, secondary logo, submark/variation(s), and font selections), then we'll evaluate. If the fault was on my end (i.e. I wasn't understanding the project, a personal emergency occurred, etc.), I'll make it right! If there's another reason, we may need to book another half-day Intensive to complete the project with fresh eyes.
Prep work! We'll always make sure we have a clear direction of how your brand identity is going to look before I ever start designing. It may not seem like enough time, but you'd be surprised how much we can get done in one day! You'll always walk away from your Intensive with a primary logo, secondary logo, submark(s)/variation(s), font selections, and your color palette (with HEX codes included).
However, I can not guarantee we'll be able to complete any extra additions. In most cases, we can! But depending on how the day goes (how many revisions we go through, how detailed your logos are, etc.), we may or may not be able to complete any extras on your "nice to have" list. If you still have some extra collateral you want designed after we've completed your Intensive, you're always welcome to work with me again on one-off projects!
On your end, the prep work includes a Questionnaire and usually a Pinterest board for gathering visual inspiration. When that's completed, I'll put together two different branding concepts for you to choose from. Each concept includes a color palette, mood board, and typography/logo inspiration.
I'll present these concepts on our Prep Call, where you'll choose a direction and we can refine as needed. On the call, we'll also create a list of "nice to have" items, I'll explain our schedule for the design day, and give you a chance to ask any questions you have.
To be perfectly honest with you, in most cases, a single logo isn't going to do much to help your business grow. I strongly believe if you're going to invest in professional branding design, you need at least a primary logo plus variations. That's what makes Design Intensives great for business owners who just need the basics to get started!
I want to make sure you not only get a beautiful brand identity that you love, but a real return on your investment too. For this reason, I don't offer single logo designs.
In most cases, the short answer is no. But it never hurts to ask! On your Discovery Call, you can show me your current logo and we'll talk about it. It's likely that once we've completed the prep work and decided on a concept, your current logo won't fit with the direction we're taking your brand. But if it does turn out to be a perfect fit, then we'll consider keeping it. With a rebrand, most of the time it's best to start fresh!
Sure, you could! The problem is, there are so many new businesses out there now using nice logo templates from Creative Market, Etsy, etc., and eventually, they all start looking the same. If you’re going to purchase a template that an unlimited number of small businesses have access to, how many of them are going to take the time to customize it? How many other people are using that exact same template? There could be 200 people with a nearly identical logo.
I'm a firm believer that not everyone needs to work with a designer right away, but I also believe that if you have the resources to invest in custom design, it's almost always better than the DIY option. Not only for the value, but to save you time and energy too!
